A CPR mask is bought for the moment somebody hesitates. Rich Medical supplies a meltblown barrier mask at 20×30 cm and a three-size respirator at 20×20 cm, one per bag, 500 to 1,000 bags per carton — the version that fits a first aid kit, a training manikin and a defibrillator cabinet.
Barrier mask or valved respirator
The meltblown barrier mask is a flat folded sheet that is placed over the casualty's face: light, cheap, and small enough to sit in a wallet kit. The valved respirator holds its shape, has a one-way valve and a filter, and is what a trained responder expects in a workplace or responder kit. Both are single use; the respirator costs more and is bought where training and a duty to respond exist.
Sizes and fit
The respirator is supplied in three sizes, all 20×20 cm folded: 1# for a child, 2# for a small adult, 3# for a large adult. Fit matters more than material — a mask that will not seal leaks at the cheek and delivers nothing. The 20×30 cm meltblown mask covers a wider face and is the size most often put into a vehicle or workplace kit.
Packing for kits and for training
One mask per bag, 1,000 bags per carton for the meltblown mask and 500 for the respirator sizes. For kit packers we supply counted and bagged to the kit code; for training organisations we supply in bulk so a manikin can be fitted and the mask discarded between students. A pouch or hard case can be added where the mask is sold as a retail item.
What a buyer should check
Valve function — it must open on the rescue breath and close on recoil; filter retention; and the printed instructions, which in the EU need to be in the language of the market and are part of the conformity file. We supply the artwork proof and the material declaration with the quotation.
Documentation and artwork
The mask bag can carry your brand, your instructions and a pictogram for the sequence. We proof the artwork as a PDF and keep the plates for repeats. Certificate of analysis, ISO 13485 certificate and CE/FDA documentation are supplied with the shipment.
