Two tip cuts, and why both exist
The radial-cut tip is a disc with radial slits that opens into a soft mop — good for a wide, gentle clean such as the oral cavity or a wound margin, because the foam conforms instead of scrubbing. The corner-cut tip leaves a firmer edge that reaches into a seam, a groove or behind a ridge. The catalogue lists these as 'radised' and 'cornered'; the spelling is the printer's, the shapes are radial and corner cut.
Lengths and reach
13 cm is the short stick for oral care on an adult patient and for hand-held cleaning. 15 cm reaches the back of an oral cavity and a dressing edge without the hand entering the field. 18 cm is the long stick for tubes, drains, bottles and equipment cleaning, and for veterinary use where the operator needs distance from the site.
Foam, not cotton
The head is polyurethane foam, which wicks liquid and holds it rather than releasing it in one squeeze, and does not shed fibre. That is why the item is used in oral care where a cotton ball would leave strands, and in electronics and optics cleaning where lint is the failure mode. Foam density is the specification to agree: a soft foam is gentle but collapses; a firmer foam cleans but can scratch a soft surface.
Packing
All lengths pack 20 pieces per bag and 50 bags per carton; carton dimensions run from 380×280×300 mm for 13 cm to 610×550×430 mm for the 18 cm corner-cut stick. The item is light, so a container is filled on cube: mixing 13 cm and 18 cm in one order usually improves the freight per unit.
