Product overview
A single-use skin prep applicator: a foam head loaded with 2% chlorhexidine gluconate in 70% isopropyl alcohol, on a plastic handle, supplied in 3, 5, 10.5 and 26 ml so one product covers a small incision and a full surgical field.
The volume is the specification
A 3 ml applicator preps a cannulation site; a 26 ml one covers an abdomen. Buyers who order a single volume usually end up running two lines, so the four sizes are the reason the range exists rather than a colour option.
Why foam and not a swab
A foam head holds the solution until it is pressed and releases it at a controlled rate, so the prep is painted on rather than poured. That is what makes the wet time reproducible — the number the CHG protocol is written around.
Tint, and what it tells the theatre
Orange-tinted solution shows which area has already been prepped and stops the same skin being painted twice. Clear solution is specified where staining is a complaint, for example on a face or on linen.
Ordering and documents
Each shipment carries a COA, MSDS and the technical file for the batch. Send the size, the packing and the destination port and the quotation is returned with the carton dimensions.
