Product overview
Cotton wool core inside a gauze sleeve, wound as a roll and cut to length at the dressing trolley. The open-weave sleeve conforms to a joint and can be unwrapped in one piece to inspect the wound underneath.
What the sleeve does
The gauze is what touches the wound; the cotton inside is the reservoir. An open weave lets air reach the site and keeps the dressing light, which is why it is the usual choice for a wound that has to be looked at during the procedure. The edge is the part that fails first — a cut gauze edge sheds fibre, so the long edge is folded or sewn rather than simply cut.
Cut to length, not to size
The roll format exists so the dressing can be cut to the wound rather than the wound covered to the nearest pad size. A clinic roll and a kit-builder roll are the same construction wound to different widths and lengths; tell us the width you want and the metres per roll, and the winding follows.
Sterile or bulk
Sterile rolls are EO sterilised and sealed in a pouch for theatre and casualty use. Non-sterile rolls are bagged for downstream cutting, where the converter sterilises the finished pad. The two packings are not interchangeable once the artwork is printed.
Ordering and documents
Each shipment carries a COA, MSDS and the technical file for the batch. Send the size, the packing and the destination port and the quotation is returned with the carton dimensions.
