Product overview
The same cotton core inside a spun-bonded non-woven sleeve. Continuous fibre means the cut edge does not fray and the sheet holds together when it takes fluid.
Why non-woven for a wet site
A spun-bonded sleeve is made of continuous filament, so there is no short fibre to escape at a cut edge. When the dressing takes exudate the sheet stays intact instead of separating, which is the failure mode that makes a gauze dressing stick to a wound bed.
Where it earns its place
First aid kits, travel kits and single-procedure packs: the dressing is opened, used and discarded, so a sleeve that does not fray saves handling time and avoids loose fibre in the kit. The same property makes it easier to cut down into pads, because the cut edge needs no finishing.
What changes the price
Sleeve weight, the edge finish (heat-sealed or folded), roll width, metres per roll, and sterility. Of these, the edge finish is the one buyers most often leave out of the enquiry and then query on the sample.
Ordering and documents
Each shipment carries a COA, MSDS and the technical file for the batch. Send the size, the packing and the destination port and the quotation is returned with the carton dimensions.
